FAQs
1. What is Xiangyunsha fabric made of?
Xiangyunsha is a traditional silk fabric made from natural silk threads, yam juice (from Dioscorea plant), and iron-rich river mud. It is entirely handcrafted and processed using sunlight, water, and time.
2. Is Xiangyunsha eco-friendly?
Yes! The entire dyeing and finishing process of Xiangyunsha is sustainable. It uses natural dye from yam and river mud, without any chemical pollution. The fabric is biodegradable and skin-friendly.
3. Why does Xiangyunsha fabric feel stiff at first?
The initial stiffness is due to natural finishing. With use and washing, the fabric gradually becomes softer and develops a beautiful drape without losing its shape.
4. Can I machine wash Xiangyunsha garments?
We recommend gentle hand washing in cold water. Avoid wringing, harsh detergents, and direct exposure to strong sunlight. For best results, lay flat to dry.
5. Is each piece of Xiangyunsha unique?
Absolutely. Since the entire process is handmade and depends on sunlight and natural materials, every piece has a slightly different texture, shade, and character. That’s the beauty of Xiangyunsha.
6. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is free storewide, but delivery times may vary depending on your location. You can find an estimated delivery time during checkout.
7. How long does it take to ship?
Order processing time is 24 hours. Standard international delivery takes approximately 7 days, depending on the destination. Expedited delivery is also available.
8. Can I return or exchange my order?
Yes. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery if the item is unused, in original condition, and with tags. Custom or worn pieces may not be eligible for return.
9. Is Xiangyunsha suitable for hot weather?
Yes! Xiangyunsha is known for its cooling properties. It allows breathability while shielding your skin from direct sun exposure, making it ideal for summer wear.
10. Why is Xiangyunsha considered a luxury fabric?
Because of its slow production process (3–6 months), rare artisan skills, and limited production per year, Xiangyunsha is one of the most valuable and culturally rich fabrics in the world.
